🚨 Brand Managers & Marketers: If your packaging only appeals to the eyes, you are actively sabotaging your own sales. πŸ’Έ

Science proves consumers will happily pay 89% MORE for the exact same product if the box simply feels premium to the touch. Today, we are announcing a massive international award sweep and rolling this tactile retail cheat code out across Canada! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

We are beyond proud to announce that bigDAWGS just won 7 FSEA Gold Leaf Awards for our digital embellishmentsβ€”in our very first year entering! πŸ†

But this isn’t just about making things look pretty. As discussed in this video with Print Three President Andrew Hrywnak, the science of “haptics” (touch) drives massive ROI. According to a recent Sappi & Clemson University study:

πŸ‘‰ 50% Conversion Bump: If a customer touches a premium, embellished piece just TWICE, they are 50% more likely to buy it.

πŸ‘‰ 90% Close Rate: Four touches? That purchase intent skyrockets to 90%.

πŸ‘‰ 3x Faster Sales: Embellished packaging moves off shelves three times faster than plain boxes.

πŸ‘‰ 89% Price Premium: Consumers perceive the value to be 89% higher simply because of raised foil and tactile finishes.

We are taking this award-winning, revenue-driving technology and rolling it out nationwide through the Print Three network.

No more settling for standard, flat ink on paper. It is time to make your customers literally FEEL your brand.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

[00:00:00] Adrian: Oh, that’s awesome. That’s definitely something to look forward to. Um, so we’re the exclusive production hub for, um, Print crease raised foil. Um, we actually just, uh, this year entered the FSEA Gold Leaf Awards and won seven awards.

[00:00:18] Eddie: Yes.

[00:00:18] Adrian: Yes. And not to mention- Yeah … that this is our first time doing this.

Yeah. Isn’t that nuts? Uh, yeah, it was just, like, crazy. Um, we were just like, “Yeah, let’s give it a shot,” you know? And, uh, the shot hit. Why is having award-winning tactile design so critical for brands right now?

[00:00:41] Eddie: Uh, first with the awards, uh, I think a lot of it has to do with you guys, y- on the design side. I mean, you know, it’s half of it is my side and the technical and making sure the machine works even beyond spec, but you guys did an amazing job.

But with that said, um, with, with the awards, and I think even the awards themselves, uh, they basically look at it and judge it where, whereas, “Hey, what looks creative and look what looks pretty.” And it, it does, it does look amazing. What do you think, San Andrew? Like, some of the- I

[00:01:09] Andrew: think it looks amazing, yeah

[00:01:10] Eddie: some of the stuff that we have, I mean, it just looks phenomenal. I, I, I … Well, I see it every day, but I’m still amazed, like, how good we are as creating these amazing effects. But- Yeah … it’s tactile effects, too.

[00:01:23] Adrian: Yeah.

[00:01:23] Eddie: So you went … You’re a recent, uh, graduate, uh- Yes … from school. Yes. But let me ask you this. Do they teach you tactile effects in design?

[00:01:33] Adrian: Uh, no.

They do

not.

[00:01:35] Eddie: It’s all, it’s all visual.

[00:01:36] Adrian: Yeah.

[00:01:36] Eddie: Right?

[00:01:37] Adrian: Yeah.

[00:01:37] Eddie: But the idea of tactile, the, um, the idea of, you know, having that raised UV raised foil, that interaction, that touch, it, it’s not just something that, you know, yeah, looks cool, but there’s science behind it. I mean, proven hard data. So Sappi and Southampton University did, um, a study last fall.

And what they did is they set up a fake, a pho- a fake store basically, and they had, um, a group of people go in there and interact with the products. So one of the things that c- a, a couple things that caught my attention, uh, with some of the stats and some of the results was this. So- Uh, if someone, a consumer interacts with a heavily embellished premium piece, by that I mean a raised UV raised foil, uh, and they start touching it twice, that increases the chances that they will buy that product by 50%.

They touch it four times, interact four times, it goes to 90%. Also, a non-embellished packaging versus a, uh, embellished packaging. So an embellished packaging, a product in a, an embellished packaging will move three times faster than a plain non-embellished packaging. Three times. So that just also moves product.

But another thing that was even more interesting is perceived value. And what I mean by that is customers were willing to pay 80%… 89% more for the product if it was in an heavily embellished printed piece than if, than it was if it was a flat box. In other words, when you think about this, let’s say you have the same product and you’re packaging it in just a regular flat plain box, and you’re selling it for $10.

If you add premium embellishments, you could sell the same product for $18. Mm. Think about that. That’s ROI. So these are the type of metrics, uh, that came out in the studies, and it’s n- again, not just beautiful. And it is, it’s very eye-catching, but this, it’s, it’s hard backed data, hard backed science. Uh, so that is when I was ex- also excited to see those results.

And there’s, of course, there’s gonna be more studies. We are gonna be conducting more studies in the printing network, but, you know, it, it is something that’s very powerful, has a very huge ROI attached to it. And, um, you know, again, uh, the complete deployment nationwide.

[00:04:03] Andrew: Yes, absolutely.

[00:04:03] Adrian: Uh,

[00:04:04] Eddie: yeah. I mean, this…

We’re gonna bring so much power to so many businesses, so many small and large businesses. And I, yeah, I can’t, I, I can’t wait till this just, uh, explodes!
