🚨 Creative Directors & Brand Managers: Your commercial printer is butchering your brand colors. And they know it.
Standard CMYK print only hits 60% of Pantone colors. So those vibrant RGB hex codes your digital team designed? They look like dull, muddy trash on paper. Today, we are officially ending the print color compromise across Canada. 🇨🇦
In this video, we break down why modern digital-first design has fundamentally broken traditional print, and exactly how we just fixed it.
Modern brand guides start on screens. Designers use bright, glowing RGB hex codes. But when you send that file to a standard print shop, the translation fails.
Enter the Fujifilm Print US Revoria Press EC2100.
Here is what this massive rollout to the Print Three Franchising network means for your brand:
🔥 The Holy Grail of Color: By adding specialty 5th-color toners like Neon Pink and Green, we aren’t just boosting saturation. We are hitting an unprecedented 93% of the entire Pantone library.

[00:00:00] Adrian: That’s totally a game changer, guys. Um, th- uh, speaking about game changer, uh, we’re working on something to make prints look near screen-level color perfect. Um, we’re using the Fujifilm Revoria presses with specialty toners like pink, white, clear, gold, silver. Why is this like the holy grail for hitting impossible brand colors?
[00:00:28] Eddie: Well, I, I have an answer, but I wanna hear from Andrew. What do… I mean, you were attracted to a Fujifilm Revoria as
[00:00:33] Andrew: well. Yeah. It’s, uh, it’s state-of-the-art in terms of, uh, technology that’s hit, hit the market space. That fifth color really makes a huge difference. Taking that fifth color and then working with someone like Eddie and hi- and your team here, uh, and even taking it to the next level is absolutely amazing.
So we’re excited about not only creating incredible color, incredible, uh, expressions in terms of the color for our customers, but also creating data-driven documents. Yeah. I mean, to me, that is leading edge. Like, nobody else is doing that. Because if I’m selling a customer a document or whether it’s one of these towers, and I can show them the data that they’re getting back, that’s something that’s unique that we’ll be able to offer right across Canada, as opposed to just selling flat print.
And with, uh, the new Fujifilm, the fifth color, the Revoria, uh, the technology that’s in that press, I mean, I have not seen color coming out of- It’s
[00:01:31] Eddie: unbelievable.
[00:01:31] Andrew: Yeah … uh, presses like this. Uh, and I’ve been doing this now for 37 years. So this is really, uh, groundbreaking. And the fact that we’re doing this together with Big Dawgs as well, uh, even brings it to that next level.
So that’s, that’s really… We’re really pumped and excited. We have our conference coming up, uh, uh, in the next week in Niagara Falls. So I look so much forward to showing some of these things to, uh, our franchisees that’ll be flying in from across Canada. Um, as well as, uh, arranging for an open house here, uh, at Big Dawgs in July, where we’ll be able to bring in, uh, the people to actually see this facility and, and the team that’s working behind this facility.
[00:02:16] Eddie: You know, o- one thing I’d like to add about the color, and I think this is something that we didn’t realize the power at first. ‘Cause we were… When we first were introduced to the Revoria, uh, we were thinking, yeah, you can do a lot of stuff with the metallic toner, so the gold, the silver, and getting those cool swatches.
Uh, and we were introduced to the pink. But when you first saw the pink, Adrian, were you excited?
[00:02:39] Adrian: Yeah, I was super excited. I actually grabbed, uh, one of the… You know the orange- Yeah,
[00:02:44] Eddie: yeah …
[00:02:45] Adrian: in comparison? It’s in my room. Uh, I… And I pinned it on my wall ever since then. Because it’s, like, crazy to think that you have print- That matches screen color colors.
Like, that’s crazy. Like, with, uh- Yeah.
[00:02:59] Eddie: And, and, and that’s exactly… When, when I first saw th- that, I was thinking what can, uh, a colors c- can it achieve? So after doing even more research, let’s talk about first off Pantone colors. I mean, for those that, uh, are aware of CMYK, you know that you can’t hit all the Pantone colors.
CMYK can only hit 60% of Pantone colors. But with the Revoria pink toner and, uh, the upcoming, uh, green toner i- in the product launch this summer, those combined has a certified, uh, is certified to hit 93% of Pantone colors. That’s
[00:03:36] Adrian: crazy.
[00:03:37] Eddie: But that is, that is one thing, but what I realized is this. I mean, we have this amazing intone program, and we’re working with brand guides.
Uh, we have been working with brand guides recently, and what I’ve noticed in the presentations that you guys were… that the intone team and your team was presenting to me, was that when you’re doing brand g- guides, it starts with RGB colors, hex codes It, you know, 10 years ago, we were defining more of PMS colors, but now it’s talked with hex codes.
So, uh, digital designers, I mean, sorry, designers now, which are digital, uh, they’re digital first. They’re screen first. They think of web first and, and, and screen assets. And you can’t easily convert that. Uh, it’s impossible. It’s just a totally different science. So what really, uh, I had a really, um, revelation of the power of the, and brands, uh, that are using these very hard to achieve RGB high color gamut.
And I’m talking about, of course, the pinks, the oranges, the, even the greens, you know, the yellows, that sort of thing. Uh, a lot of them are using really hard to, hard to get colors. Well, the Revoyar system, it, it makes it so easy to achieve these RGB colors by just one click. It’s the DFE. So they have a flow RIP.
It’s their version of a RIP. It’s out of Fiery. And it’s literally just one checkoff, checkbox. You’ve seen it, right? One checkbox, and boom, it, it, it just automatically targets RGB colors. And it, it works pretty good. Like, it’s just- That’s amazing. I was just… Yeah. So we are now also, uh, focusing on building a creative team focused on helping brands, these national brands now, uh, with this new equipment, achieve these colors and defining them in their own brand guide.
So this is something I’m looking forward to, to announcing very shortly, uh, this whole ecosystem, so this whole creative department, and also using the Print 3 network as a production hub nationwide to produce these amazing brand, brand colors, these higher hard to hit gamut brand colors. So I’m excited just, just to do that.
[00:05:56] Adrian: Yeah. That’s exciting. That’s very exciting.
